The monumental tomb of a poet and minister in Akbar's court, it was probably originally built for his wife in 1598. It was plundered in Mughal times to build Safdarjang’s tomb, and more of its decoration was stripped in the 19th century.
The tomb was being restored at the time of research; it's due for completion in 2018 and there are plans to build walkways between here and Humayun's tomb.
